Hello everyone! I'm happy to showcase my latest 3d game environment that I created using Unreal Engine 5.
For this project I wanted to focus on creating an environment that focused on reusability and modularity, white creating a compelling environment for people. During this process I pushed myself to learn new techniques for texturing, creating, materials and modeling. Going in I had a good understanding of how to utilize Nanite, tileable textures, and UDIMs from previous projects and models I've worked with. But with this project I really wanted to understand the process from start to finish to fully learn just how much utility these tools have. I created everything in the scene other than the foliage and decals which I pulled from FAB. Also this project finally gave me an excuse to model a medieval town which is something I always wanted to so since I started learning to make 3d art for games.
Huge thanks to Isabella Haro for doing the lighting for the scene, and creating awesome shots of the environment for the final renders!
